TrustLine (TL) Health & Safety - Processing TL

Follow these steps when a client requests a child care provider who is not listed in the TL registry and the client has been issued a TrustLine Referral (SCD 511) is issued.

A. The Client:

• Makes a request for child care.

B. The Associate Employment Counselor (AEC)/Employment Counselor (EC):

• Completes the "To be Completed by County” portion of the SCD 511.
• Gives the SCD 511 to the client to give to the provider.
• Forwards the child care provider registration packet to the Office Designee.
• Communicates to the client, begins monitoring the 120 retroactive calendar day period, and issues the Notification of Parental Choice with TrustLine Registration (SCD 180) at 30-day, 60-day, and 90-day intervals.

C. The Office Designee:

• Receives and reviews the child care registration packet.
• Maintains hard copies for data collection.

D. The Santa Clara County Office of Education (SCCOE):

• Receives SCD 511.
• Reviews, signs, and emails the SCD 511 to the Office Designee.

E. The Office Designee:

• Processes as follows:

F. The AEC/EC:

• Monitors the 120-calendar day period pending TL registration.
• Issues the SCD 180 at 30-day, 60-day, and 90-day intervals.
• Documents in the Journal Detail page of CalSAWS that the SCD 180 was mailed/issued to the client.
• Forwards the SCD 180 to Imaging.
