0501 - Required Field Missing for this Transaction - Priority Reject
This alert is generated because a field that is required for this transaction was not present when the transaction was submitted. Absence of the field has caused a fatal error. The alert shows no entry in the Contents column for the client’s CIN.

Action Required
Review MEDS screens to determine if the client is known to MEDS with a CIN.
A CIN is assigned during the Application Registration and/or Data Collection processes. CalSAWS allows the clearance process even when SCI is unavailable. The following instructions provide specific details for Person Clearance.
- Click the Search button on the New Person Search page. CalSAWS searches the database for known individuals matching the demographic information entered.
- If CalSAWS displays potential SCI matches, review their demographic information to determine the correct CIN:
- If the client already has a CIN, you must select the existing CIN. Before selecting an existing CIN, all potential matches should be thoroughly investigated to make sure the client is the same person to prevent the assignment of multiple CINs to the same client.
- if a CIN match is not found, select Add New Person, and proceed with assigning new CIN.
