4801 - SSN Verified Via SSA NUMIDENT Data Match - Action

This daily alert is generated when the SSN has been verified for this individual via a match to SSA's NUMIDENT file, which is the master file for SSN issuance. This alert message may be issued in conjunction with message 4812 if the SSA birthdate does not exactly match the birthdate on MEDS. Other messages may be issued as well.

Action Required

The EW must check MEDS to see if there are any SSN Verification discrepancy messages that may accompany this alert.
If there are no discrepancy messages, or after reviewing the discrepancies, you determine that the client is the individual whose SSN was verified, update the SSN Detail page, if necessary, to show that the client's SSN has been verified.
If there are other discrepancy messages, refer to those messages and follow the steps to have the discrepancies resolved.
