8007 - Buy-In Alert - State Initiated Accretion - Alert

This alert is generated whenever a state initiated Medicare Part A and/or Part B accretion transaction is accepted by SSA in Baltimore.

Action Required

The EW must update the Medicare Detail page to ensure that:

• The Medicare monthly premium is deleted as it will no longer be allowed as an income deduction since the state is now paying the premium; and
• All relevant fields on the page are updated to reflect the new buy-in status (e.g., change Payment Method from “Self" to “State”, etc.). Use first of the future month as the New Reported Date.
