8018 - Buy-In Update - Gender Discrepancy between MEDS and SSA - Alert

This alert is generated when SSA has indicated a different gender than what is defined on MEDS.

Action Required

The EW must check the gender in CalSAWS and MEDS and take the following actions:

• If the gender in CalSAWS is INCORRECT, update the Individual Demographics Detail page with the correct gender of the recipient.
• If the gender in CalSAWS and MEDS are CORRECT, contact the state Buy-In representative to resolve the discrepancies. The recipient may need to be referred to SSA to have the record corrected.
