Background
To assist child care providers serving CalWORKs families, the Santa Clara County Office of Education (SCCOE) has been providing Live Scan fingerprint imaging at no cost to providers.
Changes
Effective July 1, 2025, the SCCOE site will no longer offer Live Scan fingerprinting services to clients referred from outside agencies, including CalWORKs Employment Services (CWES).
The following revisions have been made to Chapter 10, “TrustLine and Health & Safety”:
- Language referencing the SCCOE’s provision of Live Scan fingerprinting services has been removed.
- Terminology has been updated throughout the chapter to align with CalSAWS.
- Grammatical errors have been corrected.
With this Update, the following topics located in Chapter 10, “TrustLine and Health and Safety” have been revised in the CWES Handbook to reflect these changes:

The IMPORTANT NOTICE CHILD CARE TRUSTLINE REGISTRY SYSTEM (SCD 514) has been revised as follows:
- Language referencing the SCCOE providing Live Scan fingerprinting services to our TrustLine applicants has been removed.
