Online Messages
Online messages are displayed on the sign-on and password change screens to alert users of the appropriate action(s) they need to take in order to successfully access MEDS. The following is a table of these messages with instructions on what action(s) is required, if necessary.

User has entered a valid User ID and Password on the MEDS SignOn screen, and is within the expiration period. User may change their Password on the Change Password screen or may access all authorized functions by clearing the screen and typing the desired command or pressing the desired function key (without changing their password). |

YOUR PASSWORD HAS EXPIRED. PLEASE ENTER YOUR NEW PASSWORD BELOW. Bottom of the screen: YOU MUST CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD BEFORE YOUR SIGNON TO MEDS CAN BE COMPLETED. |
User has entered a valid User ID and Password on the MEDS SignOn screen, and the Password has expired (either because the 60 day period has ended OR because the Password is temporary). User must change their Password now. |

NEW PASSWORD MUST BE ENTERED THE SAME WAY TWICE. RE-TYPE BOTH FIELDS. |
User must re-enter a valid new Password, exactly the same way in both fields on the Change Password screen. |
S804 |
INVALID RACF SIGNON ATTEMPT. YOUR PASSWORD IS NOT CORRECT FOR THIS USERID |
User has entered a valid, but INCORRECT Password, for this User ID. The user should verify that the User ID is correct and then retype the correct Password. This message counts as a "pre-revoke" incident. Only 4 such incidents are allowed since the last successful sign-on, before the User ID is revoked. After each successful sign-on, the "pre-revoke" incident counter is reset to zero. |
S805 |
INVALID RACF SIGNON ATTEMPT. PLEASE ENTER VALID USER ID PASSWORD. |
The USER ID and/or Password was entered incorrectly. Press CLEAR to exit the screen and start over. Reenter correct USER ID and Password. This message counts as a “pre-revoke” incident. Only 4 such incidents are allowed before the User ID is revoked. |
S807 |
YOUR RACF USER ID HAS BEEN REVOKED - CONTACT MEDS SECURITY COORDINATOR. |
User has exhausted allowable attempts (see S804 and S805) to sign on with a valid and correct Password and their access has been temporarily revoked. To reset Password, see Password/Passphrase Reset. |

MEDS SIGNON RECORD NOT FOUND. PRESS ENTER TO EXIT. |
User has entered a valid User ID and Password on the MEDS SignOn screen, but the user's MEDS access is disabled. User must contact MEDS Coordinator via a Gadwin ticket for further instructions. |

This message confirms that the user has successfully signed on, and can access all authorized functions by clearing the screen and typing the desired command or pressing the desired function key. |

User has entered a valid User ID and Password on the MEDS SignOn screen, but the user's access has been changed or deleted at the county’s request. User should contact their MEDS Coordinator via a GadWIN ticket. |

After successful SignOn, user has cleared the screen, typed "PSWD" and received this message on the Change Password screen. The user must re-type their current Password AND type new Passwords. The user may also resume access to all authorized functions by clearing the screen and typing the desired command or pressing the desired function key (without changing their password). |

User has successfully changed their Password on the Change Password screen. |
S825 |

User has entered a valid and new Password on the Change Password screen, that has probably been used before. MEDS does not allow the reuse of the last 32 passwords. Enter a different (new) Password that has not been used. This is not a "pre-revoke" incident. |

YOUR RACF USER ID HAS BEEN INACTIVE FOR OVER 90 DAYS, RESET REQUIRED. |
User access has been temporarily revoked. Call ITSD at 1 (800) 579-0874, Option 1, with your RACF ID and PIN number and request for password reset. |

YOUR ENTRIES WERE NOT SUCCESSFUL. YOU WILL NOW EXIT MEDS. |
User's Password has expired, and user failed to enter a new Password after multiple attempts on the Change Password screen. This is not a "pre-revoke" incident, and the user must start the sign on process over. |

YOUR ENTRIES WERE NOT SUCCESSFUL. YOU WILL NOW EXIT THIS SCREEN. |
User attempted but failed to enter a new Password after multiple attempts on the Change Password screen. The user is still signed on, and may either resume access to MEDS or they may clear the screen and type PSWD to try and change their Password again. This is not a "pre-revoke" incident. |
S829 |
PSWD CHANGE NOT ALLOWED. PRESS ENTER TO CONTINE TO LOGON TO MEDS. |
User attempted Password change but not permitted. Per RACF Password Guidelines, password change only allowed every 15 days. User must continue to use existing password. Press ENTER to complete Sign-On. |
