Daily MEDS Alerts Tracking Reports
DHCS requires counties to process 90 percent of HPPS Daily MEDS alerts. Without direct access to MEDS data, MEDS Alerts Tracking Reports were developed as a tool to monitor the compliance with HPPS MEDS alerts by obtaining the alert status from the Interface Activities subsystem.
The twenty-three (23) HPPS Daily MEDS alerts are 1082, 1505, 1515, 2047, 2144, 2165, 2182, 4351, 4355, 4806, 4807, 4808, 4810, 4823, 4824, 9003, 9004, 9005, 9038, 9043, 9060, 9070, and 9073. For a complete list of all HPPS MEDS alerts, refer to What to do with a MEDS Alert document on the Program web page, MEDS Reference Materials.
The Daily MEDS Alerts Tracking reports can be retrieved from BI under the path: Public Folders/DEBS/Special Projects/MEDS Data Accuracy.

MEDS Alerts in CalSAWS
All alerts received from MEDS are loaded into the CalSAWS. The EW may take one or more actions to resolve MEDS alerts. Once the alerts are corrected, EW will clear alerts in CalSAWS and document corrective actions taken including a GadWIN ticket number, if applicable, in the CalSAWS Journal Detail page.
Refer to CalSAWS "Job Aid (JA) MEDS Alerts", for detailed information.
For the instructions, refer to MEDS HB Chapter 5: MEDS Reconciliation/Burman Holds, Section MEDS Alerts Tracking Reports.
