1515 - No Matching Birth Record Found for Alleged CA Born Client - Urgent

This alert message is generated to inform the EW that MEDS has processed the Vital Statistics Match (birth record match) request submitted with the AP19 transaction. However, a successful birth match was not found for this individual. The alert displays all the data elements used for the match.

It is important to note that a “No Matching Record Found” alert does not necessarily mean that a client was not born in California or would not be able to obtain a copy of their birth certificate.

Action Required

Check the [INQE] screen to see if the citizenship information is already recorded.

If YES, no further action is required.
If NO, review the Vital Statistics Detail page and Birth Certificate Information page section to ensure all required data is entered and resubmit a new Vital Statistics Match. Complete an SC 1296 for a MEDS online AP19 transaction to request the birth match, if necessary.
