2172 - ABAWD - Status Inappropriate - Client Not ABAWD Per MEDS - Urgent

This alert is generated when an individual is ABAWD in CalSAWS, but MEDS has ABAWD indicator “0” and ABAWD status codes blank.

Possible Screens To Resolve This Alert

  1. The [INQF] screenscreen displays CaFresh Aid Code for approved month and ABAWD Indicator “0”.


  2. The [INQG] screenscreen displays the ABAWD Indicator “0” and ABAWD Status Code blank. The information on this screen is used to compare with ABAWD Type and Status on the Time Limit Summary page.


  3. The Time Limit Summary page displays the ABAWD Status, used to compare with the [INQG] screen.
  4. The Work Registration Detail page displays the exemption type that should match with the Exemption Status on the ABAWS Statis List page.

Note: Some exemptions can be triggered by other CalSAWS windows (i.e., Disability)

Action Required

  • Review the ABAWD status and time limit in CalSAWS and MEDS for accuracy.
  • Verify and enter the correct information on the Work Registration Detail page.
  • Run EBDC and accept and save the results. Check MEDS in two working days for the ABAWD indicator and ABAWD status codes populated on [INQG] screen. If necessary, submit an SCD 1296 to update ABAWD information in MEDS.
