Making Satisfactory Progress (MSP) Introduction

State policy requires the assignment of participation hours to CalWORKs clients based on three factors:

  • The number of parents or caretaker relatives included in the AU
  • The age of the child(ren) in the AU, and
  • The basis for deprivation (unemployment or incapacity) of the child(ren) in the determination of eligibility to two-parent AUs.
