SOCR - SOC Spenddown Case Members/Status

  • Provides access to the online real-time SOC Database. The SOC database contains up-do-the-minute information on all cases reported to MEDS with a SOC.
  • Inquiry can be made for a specific individual or for a case.
  • When the SOC-CASE-ID is entered, the case make-up (members of the SOC case) will be displayed on the [SOCR] response screen.
  • When the MEDS-ID is entered, a list of all SOC cases in which the recipient is a member will be displayed. Select the specific case to perform a case inquiry. When the specific case is chosen, the [SOCR] response screen is displayedresponse screen is displayed, providing detailed data about the members of that case.


To Obtain

  • Choose Option ‘S’ from the Inquiry Request Menu [MENU] screen, or
  • From a blank MEDS screen, type SOCR and press Enter.

  • This response screenThis response screen can only be obtained via the SOC Case Make-Up Inquiry Request (MOPI) screen.



  • The screen is for inquiry only and cannot be used to post a SOC amount online.
  • Displays detailed information for all members of the SOC case requested.
  • The data displayed is based on up-to-the-minute information from the SOC Database.
  • Displays the SOC case amount and the SOC balance (the amount of obligation remaining for the inquiry month). The SOC Database will contain the current month and 15 prior history months.
  • When multiple cases are found for an individual, a listing of cases with the header “Multiple SOC Cases were Found, Select One SOC Case” is shown. Enter an ‘X’ in front of the case to view more detail.
