Possible Screen To Resolve This Alert
The [Other Client Eligibility Information] INQE screenINQE screen lists the DEATH-DATE 12/dd/YYYY, DEATH-CD “V” and DEATH-POSTED 07/01/1991.
Refer to the MEDS Quick Reference Guide on Program web page, MEDS Reference Materials for specific DEATH-CD information.
Action Required
If the recipient is not deceased, after going through the proper channels, a GadWIN ticket must be generated for each record with the relevant MEDS and CalSAWS screen shots attached to request death date removal.
If the recipient is deceased then any Medi-Cal card issued via an EW15 or EW55 will remain ‘unconfirmed’. The monthly MEDS Renewal process will generate the unconfirmed Medi-Cal alerts (9502, 9505 or 9509). These messages should be ignored. Since the person is deceased, no further action can be taken besides card issuance.
