2155 - Refugee/Alien Information Incomplete or Inconsistent - Action

This alert is generated when the MEDS Aid Code indicates a refugee Aid Code but the Refugee/Alien Indicator was not 0 or 9. The ‘0’ is only used to identify non-citizens who are not aged. It therefore is never an appropriate code for a time-eligible Refugee. Either the person’s Aid Code is incorrect or the Alien/Refugee Indicator is incorrect.

MEDS eligibility or pending application screenscreen for the eligibility or application information
Review the MEDS INQE screenscreen for the refugee information.

Action Required

Corrective action will depend on what is incorrect and the source of the error (e.g., either the MTO or the CalSAWS nightly batch process). Review all relevant fields in CalSAWS. It may be necessary to review the CalSAWS Journal Detail page and/or scanned documents to review the client’s citizenship status to determine which entry must be corrected. If the source of the error was an MTO-generated transaction, the EW must complete another SCD 1296, requesting the transaction be generated again with the correct Citizen/Alien Indicator of 1 or 8.
