9028 - Transaction CIN Not Primary CIN Used by MEDS - Alert

This message is generated when a transaction is submitted using a CIN other than the recipient’s primary CIN on MEDS. The alert displays the primary CIN and the CIN submitted with this transaction. MEDS will reject the transaction CIN and retain the primary CIN.

Action Required

Review the client’s CIN on the Individual Demographics Detail page and take the following action:

If the CIN matches, no further action is required.
If the CIN is different, perform Person Clearance. Refer to CalSAWS "Job Aid (JA) Duplicate Persons - Identifying and Correcting", for additional information.
