9039 - Eligibility Changed Based on Citizen/ Identity Documents - Action
This alert message is generated to inform the EW that MEDS has changed the client from either Medi-Cal ineligible to eligible OR from limited scope to full scope benefits (e.g. M4 to M3; 58 to 34) based on the citizenship and/or identity information reported.
The “Contents” section of the message displays the following information:
- Citizenship/Identity Document Type that had previously caused the ineligibility or limited benefits (e.g., 9Q, 9R) as well as the new Document Type that restores eligibility or full scope benefits (e.g., 1A, 2A); and
- Previous limited scope Aid Code (e.g., M4, 58) and the new full scope Aid Code (e.g., M3, 34); and
- Previous ELIG-STAT (e.g., 362, 364) and the new ELIG-STAT (002, 004).
Action Required
The EW must review Client Correspondence/Distributed Documents to ensure the appropriate change NOA is issued. Manually generate an appropriate NOA, if necessary.
