0004 - Invalid Character Within Field - Accept

Invalid characters were input in the Physical Address, Mailing Address field on the Address Detail page. MEDS will only accept alpha, numeric, space and special characters (hyphen, period, slash, and pound sign) in these fields. The transaction has been accepted by MEDS, but the field in error has been blanked out. If the Physical Address or Mailing Address field is in error, the Address Flag has been sent to 2, preventing the issuance of a BIC. This alert also indicates the data has been repaired before the form 1095-B is being sent to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

Action Required

Correct the home/mailing address to be valid and acceptable to MEDS and resubmit the transaction.
