County Eligibility Worker Alerts: 0001-1999
Chapters 8 through 11 list DHCS (Department of Health Care Services) generated MEDS/CDB CEWAs (County Eligibility Worker Alerts) which are most likely to be received in CalSAWS counties. It is NOT an all-inclusive list.
The purpose of these sections is to explain why each alert is generated and how Eligibility Workers (EWs) can correct errors if necessary. Refer to “Types of MEDS/CDB CEWAs,” page 7-3. Chapter 7 also includes:
- An explanation of the six types of CEWAs produced by DHCS (what and when);
- An overview of CEWA generation (why);
- Instructions on how to read an alert message.
If unable to correct MEDS/CDB after consultation with the EW Supervisor, office MEDS liaison and/or MTO, it is Agency policy for the EW Supervisor or MEDS Liaison to contact the MEDS Coordinator responsible for MEDS/CDB error resolution. After going through the proper channels, a GadWIN ticket must be generated for each record with the relevant MEDS and CalSAWS screen shots attached.
