0005 - Date Field Does Not Contain a Valid Date - Priority Reject
The date displayed in the message is missing or invalid. Dates must be 4 to 8 characters in length; the month must be from 01 through 12; the day must be valid for the month; and the year/century must be numeric. For example, February 29 is valid only in a leap year; day 31 is valid only for months having 31 days.
This error is generated when the invalid date results in a fatal error or when the record is placed in Hold; otherwise alert 0006 is generated.

Possible Screens To Resolve This Alert

Alert 1094 identifies a data element conflict.

The INQM screen shows the last month of Aid Code 59 (Additional TMC-6 months) is March 2007. The last month of Aid Code 59 should be April 2007. The PEND April 2007 has Aid Code 37 (AFDC-MN SOC). April eligibility is in conflict. Review the CalSAWS case to determine which Aid Code is correct.

Action Required
- Review the EDBC Summary page and all related page sections to determine the correct Aid Code.
- Verify whether the record has been placed on Hold by looking for a 2502 Recipient In Hold Status alert message on the same day as this alert; or by going to the INQS Client Inquiry Summary screen and selecting an eligibility screen.
- An online transaction may be necessary to correct April’s Aid Code and release the Hold.
