2000 - MEDS ID Not on File - Priority Reject

This alert is generated when the number on the SSN Detail page does not match the MEDS-ID on the recipient’s record or does not exist on the MEDS Network.

This error MAY indicate that the initial approval for MEDS and/or CDB rejected and was never corrected.

MEDS INWA Request for Online Worker Alert Inquiry on the transaction MEDS ID and selecting the alert message.

The 2000 alert is commonly accompanied by another file clearance alert; and often times there have been previous file clearance alerts that have not yet been resolved. In this case, the 1503 alert is also generated; in reviewing the 1503 alertreviewing the 1503 alert, there appears to be an incorrect or out-of-date MEDS ID for this record.

ReviewReview the MEDS Online Worker Alert Detail INWD screen for alert 1503.

Per the 1503 alert, the transaction MEDS ID is a real SSN and MEDS has the pseudo MEDS ID. Per the 2000 alert, the transaction MEDS ID is not yet known to MEDS.

In many cases, resolving the accompanying file clearance alert and/or previous alerts resolves this alert as well.

Action Required

Compare the number on the SSN Detail page with the MEDS-ID on the current record. The number contained on the SSN Detail page must match the MEDS-ID on MEDS/CDB in order for the transaction to be accepted.
In general, correction of this error consists of changing the number on the SSN Detail page to match what is on MEDS/CDB.
