Register Applicants

The following are procedures to register applicants in CalWIN:

  1. Stage 1: Requestor
    1. Completes the required forms (SAWS1 and SCD 41)
  2. Stage 2: CST/OSIII
    1. Receives the application documents relating to the appropriate program.
    2. Uses the information on the documents to enter the client's data.
    3. Performs Client Inquiry in CalWIN by selecting the [Individual Inquiry] button on the Record Contact Information window.
    4. Collects applicant information in the Collect Application Information windows
    5. Clears the client’s address in CalWIN [Search Home Address] [Search Mailing Address] tabs.
    6. Documents the application number on the SCD 41, as appropriate.
    7. Enters the application information in the Collect Application Information window.
    8. Collects household member information on the Collect Household Member Details window.
    9. Clears the child and searches for CWIN and CIN using the Clear Individual screen in CalWIN and Clear Individual through SCI.
    10. Assigns CIN and CWIN number, as appropriate.
    11. Ensures appropriate boxes have been checked within Application Registration (App. Reg.).
    12. Clears the case and assigns a case number using the Case Assignment window.
    13. Retrieves archived information.
    14. Assigns the case to Control.
    15. Request IEVS on all Foster Care cases for both parents.
    16. Note: The App. Reg. function is to be performed individually irrespective of number of applicants in application. Each application must have both parents’ information entered.
