Child Care Service Extensions/Changes
If the client is not discontinued from cash aid by the end of the initial 24 months, and the child care will continue, then issue a new Child Care Services Approval (NA 832) along with a CalWORKs Stage One Child Care Authorization Form (CCP 8).
If the child care changes during the approval period, then issue the Notice of Action Child Care Services Change (NA 833). When the Notice of Action (NOA) is not issued through CalSAWS, a copy of the NOA MUST be forwarded to Imaging. It is the client’s sole responsibility to communicate the change to the provider.
If the payment to the provider differs from the amount the provider billed, the Child Care Payment Adjustment (SCD 1736) must be issued. Refer to Adjustments.
Family Fee Determination
In order to determine if a family fee exists, refer to the Child Care Service Family Fee Schedule.
Reminder: Most employed CalWORKs Employment Services (CWES) clients receiving cash aid will not pay a family fee as their total gross family income may be below 75% State Median Income (SMI).
