2072 - Inappropriate Negative Action Update to Eligible Client - Urgent

This alert is generated when an attempt is made to change a recipient’s benefits negatively (e.g., from Aid Code 34 with zero SOC to Aid Code 37 with a SOC) for the current or prior month(s). The new SOC Aid Code will be posted to the future month; benefits for the current and prior months remain unchanged.

Action Required

Review EDBC Results in CalSAWS to ensure the eligibility results and Aid Codes for the recipient are correct.

If benefits and Aid Code match what is shown on MEDS, no further action is required.
If the Aid Code and benefit results in CalSAWS adversely impact the recipient compared to the benefits displayed on MEDS:
- Review Data Collection to ensure all relevant data and the Effective Begin and End Dates are entered correctly.
- Re-run EDBC. If appropriate, do not evaluate benefit discrepancy for the current and prior months.
