EDD Real-Time Match

The EDD Real-Time Match system is used to determine if a client has an existing UI/DI payment claim and if not, whether there are potential UI benefits. Potential DI claim information is not available through this system.

This system is not part of IEVS. EWs may use this information in advance of the IEVS Applicant match response. However, the information obtained in the real-time match does not replace the information in the EDD match that is completed as part of the application process.

  • The real-time system is available from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • EDD completes a search for active UI and DI claims first. If there is an active UI or DI claim for the SSN entered, but the EDD claim name does not match the input name, EDD will return a message without the name associated with that SSN in their files.
    • If the client is known by another name, use that new name for a new query.
    • If the client is not known by another name, complete an IEVS Applicant match as that UI/DI match is completed on SSN only and will provide the name from the EDD files.
  • If there is an active UI or DI claim for the SSN entered and the name matches, EDD will return the data in the CURRENT CLAIM portion of the screen.
  • If the current claim is for UI and DI, only the UI claim will display. The DI information must be obtained through the IEVS Applicant match.
  • If there is no active claim for UI or DI, the system will check to see if there are enough wages to support a claim. Potential claim data for UI is displayed in the POTENTIAL CLAIM section of the screen.

Refer to CP HB Chapter 11, Section EDD Real-Time Match for more information.
