Individual Asset Inquiry (Option I)

In addition to asset information, this option provides detailed display of all earned and unearned income (including any interest and dividend income) associated with the SSN entered. The following screens are available through this option:

EDD Wages and Employers (WA)
EDD Unemployment Benefits (UI)
EDD Disability Insurance (DI)
FTB Total Unearned Income (FT)
Title II Social Security Benefits (T2), and
Title XVI SSI/SSP Benefits (16).
To access, choose Option “I”choose Option “I” from the IEVS Main Menu, enter the SSN of the applicant, and press Enter.
After pressing the Enter key, either the Individual Inquiry Summary or the Inquiry with Multiple Segments screen will appear.

If there had been only one request for IEVS information from our county or other counties, the Individual Inquiry Summary screen appears complete with information associated with the SSN entered.

If the agency (EDD, FTB, or SSA) supplying the information has not yet responded, the associated summary field will be blank and not highlighted. In this examplethis example, EDD and FTB have returned information, therefore ‘WA’, ‘UI’ and ‘FT’ are highlighted.
If an agency has returned information and that information indicates no income, the summary field will display '0', however, the field will NOT be highlighted.
If there is a pending UI claim, the associated 2-digit code would be highlighted even if no payment was issued in the past 12 weeks.

Inquiry With Multiple Segments Screen

If there had been more than one request for IEVS information for the SSN entered, the Inquiry With Multiple Segments (IM) screenInquiry With Multiple Segments (IM) screen appears.

If the RETURN DATE is blank, it means the supplying agency has not returned the data.
Even though each of these segments is for the same SSN, there could be different earnings data associated with each segment. This is due to the timing difference when information was requested. If one request was made in December and the other made the following January, FTB may report unearned income from different fiscal years.
Enter a highlighted Segment number (e.g., 01, 02, etc.) that appears in the left margin of the screen. A highlighted segment number indicates that more information is available. After a valid segment number is entered in the SELECT OPTION field, the system will display the Individual Inquiry Summary screen for that individual.
