Whole Case Applicant Inquiry (Option W)
This option displays a list of all the SSNs on the IEVS database that are “linked.” SSNs are linked to other SSNs on the database through the batch generation of an:
- Add Case Record transaction with at least two persons, or
- Add Member to Case Record transaction.
Example: During Application Registration, IEVS reports were requested for mom and her two children. If a Whole Case Applicant Inquiry is performed on mom’s SSN, then her two children’s SSN would also be displayed on the screen.
- To access, choose Option “W”choose Option “W” from the IEVS Main Menu, enter the SSN of the applicant, and press Enter.
Three possible responses happen at this point:
- A “No Record Found” message is displayed if there is no information found for the SSN entered,
- The IEVS Whole Case Inquiry screen appears with the SSN entered. Refer to Whole Case Inquiry Screen below for a sample of MEDS screens, or
- The IEVS Whole Case Inquiry with Multiple Segments screen appears if more than one request for IEVS was transmitted for the SSN entered within the past 60 days. Refer to IEVS Whole Case Inquiry with Multiple Segments Screen below for a sample of MEDS screens.
IEVS Whole Case Inquiry Screen
The Whole Case Inquiry screen is obtained directly from the IEVS Main Menu if there is only one segment of data in IEVS, or from the Multiple Segments screen if there is more than one segment of information for the entered SSN.
To see more information about this SSN (Name, County-ID, Eligibility Worker, and Application Date), enter “IX” in the SELECT OPTION fieldenter “IX” in the SELECT OPTION field and press Enter.

IEVS Whole Case Inquiry with Multiple Segments Screen
This screen displaysscreen displays the Name, County-ID, Eligibility Worker, and Application Date for the SSN entered.
To view a list of SSNs for all members associated with the case, enter the Segment numberenter the Segment number (01, 02, etc.) in the SELECT SEGMENT field and press Enter. The IEVS Whole Case Inquiry appears with a listing of associated SSNs.
