Employment or Training Commencement Payment (ETC) - GA Policy [275]
The Department may make a one-time only aid payment to provide for the needs associated with commencing employment or employment-related training, the amount is not to exceed the maximum monthly aid payment to which the person is entitled.
ETC Payments
| If... | And... | Then... |
| An applicant/recipient commences employment or employment-related training, | The applicant/recipient is ineligible for GA because of anticipated earned income, training stipend or unavailability for a Public Works assignment, | The applicant/recipient may be eligible for a one-time 'Employment Training Commencement (ETC) Payment' pending receipt of initial wages. |
The ETC payment will not exceed the maximum grant level the applicant/recipient would have received had employment not been obtained.
The EW must process these applicants as all others with the exception that work registration and a referral to VS is not required.
