Supplemental Payment

A supplemental payment is additional aid to which a recipient is entitled due to:

  • The receipt of less income than had been anticipated in the initial budget computation; or
  • Increased need (e.g. COLA increase, or person is added to the case).

This supplemental payment will provide the balance of the basic need standard to which the recipient is entitled.

Note: A supplemental payment will NOT be issued for an increase in housing in the month in which an address change occurs, unless the budget does not include housing assistance, and the recipient has moved to a place where he/she is required to pay for housing. A prorated supplement may be paid to the landlord for the remaining days of the month. Refer to Reported Changes - GA Policy [105].

“Identification Document” (CSF 54)

When applicable if recipients are experiencing difficulty in cashing their warrant, the “Certification of Identification Document” (CSF 54), may be helpful to assist recipients in an effort to develop warrant cashing resources. [Refer to "Paper Warrant or Check" in the Common Place HB].
