1096 - Date Field Contains An Unreasonable Date - Priority Reject
This alert is generated when a transaction is sent to MEDS/CDB either through the CalSAWS nightly batch process or the MTO, and that transaction contains an unreasonable date. Since the unreasonable date is critical to the update, MEDS/CDB rejected the transaction.

This alertThis alert is generated for several scenarios. In this scenario the eligibility effective date is more than 8 months prior to MEDS current month and the displayed ESAC is not an exception ESAC.

Action Required
Review the details of the alert to determine the unreasonable date that caused the transaction to fail. Usually the date in conflict is printed on the INWD screen.
An online transaction via the MTO may be necessary to correct the alert(s).
Correct the error(s) and resubmit the transaction.
Verify whether the record has been placed in Hold by looking for a 2502 “Recipient In Hold Status’ alert message on the same day as this alert; or by going to the INQS Client Inquiry Summary screen and selecting an eligibility screen.
