6005 - Recon Record On MEDS/Not On County - Recon Hold Generated - Priority Alert

This alert is generated when:

A record for the displayed eligibility segment type was found on MEDS but there is no matching record in CalSAWS ,
The last change date on MEDS was PRIOR to the creation date of the county Recon file, and
The last MEDS update was within the most recent 6 month period.

Eligibility is presumed active, and a Recon update was generated to place the MEDS record in a Hold status pending further county action.

The INQM screen indicates eligibility for the month of November 2006, the month of the alert. The recon process puts the recipient on Hold for the pending month because the recipient is eligible on MEDS but not in CalSAWS and the last eligibility change date for the displayed segment (primary) is within the past 6 months (10/25/2006).

Action Required

The EW must review the case to ensure the CalSAWS record is correct.

If CalSAWS is CORRECT (e.g., a discontinuance record), the EW must submit an SCD 1296 requesting the MTO to terminate the MEDS record before MEDS cut-off.
If CalSAWS record is erroneously terminated, reactivate the CalSAWS record and ensure the Hold status is removed from MEDS. Complete an SCD 1296 requesting the MTO to remove the Hold status, if necessary.
